“Little Flowers of Mezőség” gauze bodysuit, black-red

We created this sweet little summer bodysuit using our own custom pattern from pre-washed, soft-touch Indian gauze with a pure cotton-linen blend. It closes at the crotch and at the back of the neck with baby snaps, which are hand-pressed using a ball press. Exceptionally skin-friendly and comfortable wear for the little ones.

We decorated it with fiery red tulips from Mezőség; we found the pattern on a pillow end preserved from an estate. It is important to know about Mezőség embroideries that they work with few pattern variations and mostly a single colour, but with a much richer variety of stitches. Like all freehand embroidery patterns, the Mezőség style allows for great freedom, the artist can shape and form it according to their own heart’s content. We just happened to fall in love with these beautiful tulips….
