“Csángó Flower” autumn coat, black

There is a Hungarian community of a few hundred thousand people living in Moldova, beyond the Carpathians, called Csángó Hungarians who still speak the pure, ancient Hungarian language a thousand years later. In their honour our most beautiful (in my biased opinion) piece was born: the Csángó Flower Autumn Coat.

I personally designed it and drew its pattern freehand, based on ancient forms. For months, I studied and observed Csángó attires and ornamentations before I picked up a pencil. This is my most beloved garment, please accept it with love, as it was born from a pure heart.

Fitted women’s jacket sewn from soft-drape, elastic, so-called warmkeeper fabric. Knitted cotton on the inside, and a very soft, furry, mirror-velvet-like sheared fabric on the outside. ‘Stove-warm’, guaranteed to keep you warm down to 5 degrees Celsius. Its decoration features freehand drawing of an archaic Csángó pattern, preserving the original Csángó colour palette in its colours, which also runs along the cuffs. The embroidery is made with colourfast silk thread. Fastens with decorative gold, silver, or bronze buttons.
